100th Anniversary Celebration of Fire Station 29 - April 16, 2013

HONORING 100 YEARS OF FIRE SERVICE at Fire Station 29, April 16, 2013.  The 100th Anniversary was observed with an old-fashioned “Welcome to the Heart of Our Firehouse” pancake breakfast, co-sponsored by FIRST-IN FIRE FOUNDATION, Los Angeles Fire Department Historical Society & Museum, and Windsor Square Association, in cooperation with the Los Angeles Fire Department and the firefighters of Fire Station 29, Battalion 11.  Among those in attendance at the celebration of the fire station’s milestone, were (pictured from left to right): Councilmember Tom LaBonge, CD4;  Fire Chief Brian Cummings, LAFD; Captain Mark Curry, Fire Station 29; Mary Rajswing and Pamela Reed, “Friends of Fire Station 29”; Ryan Penrod and “Wilshire the Fire Dog”; Boy Scouts from Troop #10; and FIRST-IN FIRE FOUNDATION Board Members, Michael Malick, Kevin James, Erroll Southers, Lyn MacEwen Cohen, Adrian Stern, Marc Cohen, and LAFD Captain (Ret.)
